Out of unimaginable loss, they found the words to go on.
Synopsis:
To Olivia is a tender portrait of two artists learning to live with the unthinkable. In the stillness after their daughter’s death, Roald Dahl (Hugh Bonneville) reaches for story as a lifeline, drafting a tale about wonder, cruelty and kindness that will become Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Patricia Neal (Keeley Hawes), facing the world’s gaze, returns to a demanding set and shapes the performance that will earn her an Academy Award for Hud. The film follows the ragged edges of grief and charts how their marriage bends, breaks and, slowly, remakes itself. With Sam Heughan as Paul Newman and Geoffrey Palmer in his final screen performance.
